The flagpole at the Capitol has been broken for some time, so maintenance began this week to replace the pulley system. Justin Rome of Woodlawn Tree Care was charged with climbing to the top of the pole, a good hundred feet or so above the ground. A new part will have to be ordered however, and he will have to climb again to install the new part before another flag can fly at the Capitol.
It was a blast for me to be up on the roof of the Capitol. I love going places that most people don’t get to go to. And the view was incredible.
